Introduction
This is an intensive two-day course on the Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BQ) using MyCESMM (Malaysian Civil Engineering Standard Method of Measurement) for Civil Engineering works. MyCESMM was produced in 2011 by CIDB in collaboration with the industry players and is intended to be a national document that features the rules of measurement, definition, coverage and description of civil engineering projects for the use as a basis in the preparation of Bill of Quantities. Through the nationwide adoption of this standard, it is expected that the method of measurement for civil engineering projects for both public and private sector can be standardised.
Purpose
The aim of the course is to expose the participants to the following:
- Introduction to MyCESMM
- Overview of the definition, coverage, description and rules of measurement used in MyCESMM.
- Discussion of proposed changes to MyCESMM in preparation of MSCESMM SIRIM Standard.
- Guidance for preparation of the Bill of Quantities using MyCESMM for Civil Engineering works.

Registration fee will not be refunded for any cancellation. However, substitution of participants can be arranged by informing the organiser one week before the course commences.
Continuing Professional Development
The course is eligible for 16 CPD hours for Professional Engineers registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia, and a Certificate of Attendance will be issued subject to full attendance.
