Seminar on Active and Passive Fire Submissions for Approval   Print

Hits : 1782
Tuesday 10 July 2018, 8:30am - 4:30pm

Venue: Vivatel Kuala Lumpur
85, Jalan Loke Yew
55200 Kuala Lumpur

This seminar was conceived by the professional bodies jointly with the Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur (Bomba KL), to address the perennial and alarming rate of submitted plans being rejected by Bomba KL, for reasons which include incompleteness, incompetency or misrepresentations by either party. Despite regular dialogues between Bomba KL and the professional bodies, the rate of first time approval of plans remains at below 50%. Such a scenario is certainly disappointing for an industry aspiring to fully implement self-regulation in the very near future.

Topics presented are targeted at all those involved in fire safety designs including, approving agencies, architects, engineering consultants, developers, contractors and vendors. This seminar will provide the guidelines on latest design practices and submission requirements that will help reduce incidences of rejection and non-compliance with Bomba requirements.
