Synopsis

Concession problem on the mobility of people and goods exists and escalating everywhere. Rail transport is an efficient mode of transport among all conventional mode of transport to solve the problem. Railway is a relatively fast, economical, energy saving, environmentally sound and safe system of transport.

This course aims to acquire the knowledge of railway design requirement.

Objectives

(a) To highlight the Development of International and Malaysian Railway System.
(b) To share with participants the Permanent Way/Track Component.
(c) To share the knowledge on Infrastructure and System interfacing requirement.
(d) To highlight and discuss the Safety requirements in Railway.
(e) To understand the Basic Track Design requirements.
(f) To discuss on Critical Loading Consideration.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and will close upon reaching the maximum number. Registration fee must be submitted together with the registration form. Payment by crossed cheque is to be issued to ‘The Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia.’.

Fee will not be refunded for any cancellation. However, substitution of participants can be arranged by informing the ACEM secretariat one week before the course commences.
